  • At present, the application of worm gear reducer is very common. With the continuous development of production, the requirements for equipment are getting higher and higher, and there are also higher requirements for the reducer of the transmission structure and higher worm gear efficiency, but due to the reducer The wear and heat generation restrict the improvement of worm gear efficiency.     Introduction of worm gear reducer

    Worm gear reducer is a kind of transmission machinery with compact structure, large transmission ratio, and self-locking function under certain conditions. It is one of the most commonly used reducers. It can be seen in the transmission system of all kinds of machinery, from ships, automobiles, locomotives, heavy machinery for construction, raw processing and production equipment used in the machinery industry, to household appliances, clocks and watches that are common in daily life.

  • Problem analysis and solution of worm gear reducer

    Existing worm gear reducers generally have bad phenomena such as heating and oil leakage. The heating and oil leakage of the reducer can easily cause abnormal operation of the equipment, waste of energy and environmental pollution, which are problems that cannot be ignored in practical production. The following analyzes and summarizes the causes and methods of the reducer's heating and oil leakage.


    The main reason for the heat of the reducer is that the turbine is driven by sliding friction. At present, most of the turbine reducers use non-ferrous metals as the worm gear, and use harder steel to make the worm. More heat can easily cause the turbo reducer to heat up in the case of poor heat dissipation and insufficient oil.


    Solution: choose suitable materials, provide good heat dissipation conditions, and supply sufficient oil.


    The oil leakage phenomenon of the reducer can be roughly divided into box oil leakage and oil seal oil leakage


    The main reasons for the oil leakage of the tank are as follows:


    ①The design of the reducer case is unreasonable, and the oil return groove is not properly planned. During the operation, the splashed lubricating oil continuously accumulates and leaks from the gap of the mating surface.


    ②The reducer generates a lot of heat during operation, and the internal temperature of the reducer rises, causing the pressure inside the box to be greater than the atmospheric pressure. When the temperature rises, the viscosity of the oil also decreases, which will also cause the oil to leak out of the box.


    Therefore, oil with higher viscosity can be selected. The amount of oil should be added according to the actual situation.


    There are several main reasons for oil seal leakage:


    ①The surface roughness of the shaft is too large, which causes the lip of the sealing ring to wear, and it is easy to cause oil leakage.


    ② Improper assembly process. In the process of assembling the oil seal, no special tooling is used to directly encapsulate the oil, which is easy to damage the lip of the oil seal, and the damage will continue to increase during the operation of the equipment, resulting in oil leakage.
